CityFiber, the concessionaire for the Full Fiber network project in Renfrewshire, has commenced construction works at Paisley. The project includes the development of a Full Fiber broadband network in the towns of Paisley, Renfrew, and Johnstone in the Renfrewshire region. The network will improve connectivity by serving council buildings including schools, local libraries, and community centers. The scope of works involves the extension of the existing network by approximately 700km.

The first homes and businesses are expected to be able to connect to the network from early 2021.
