Construction Tender issued for second section of the Rail Baltica mainline in Estonia

RB Rail AS has launched the construction tender for the second section of the Rail Baltica mainline in Harju County, Estonia.

Construction work on the Rail Baltica line in Harju County is planned to start in the second half of 2023. The construction company will be responsible for the work on the site starting from the Ülemiste terminal. The 4.8 km section runs to the intersection of the Lagedi road in Soodevahe Rae municipality. It includes the partial construction of an embankment for the Ülemiste rolling stock depot and the construction of an embankment with a width of 14 to 20 m for the railway section of the prospective car-carrier station. The start of construction work on the site is scheduled for autumn 2023.

The expected cost of agreement is EUR24 million (US$25.49 million). Bids for the announced tender for the construction of Rail Baltica mainline section in Harju County are expected until March 16, 2023. More information could be found here.
