The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced the start of construction for the Quindio - Valle del Cauca bridge public-private partnership (PPP) project in Colombia.
The project involves the construction of a railway bridge across the La Vieja River, which is used for pedestrian communication between the two departments of Quindio and Valle del Cauca in Colombia. The bridge has a length of 102 m and two side parallel arches 17 m high. Parts of the arches of the bridge are being prepared in Girardota and will be moved for about 35 tractor-trailers when the place is conditioned for its installation. First of all, the collapsed bridge will be demolished, which will be removed in a modular manner and left on an adjacent piece of land to continue research.
The bridge is being constructed by Autopistas del Café.
