National Intermodal Corporation has started the construction phase on the new US$514 million Interstate Intermodal Terminal at Moorebank Logistics Park in Sydney’s southwest, Australia.
The Interstate Intermodal Terminal is being built at Moorebank Logistics Park, which is located in Sydney's southwest. The project is being delivered by a joint venture between the Australian Government-owned National Intermodal Corporation, Qube Holdings Limited and LOGOS. It will have the capacity to handle up to 500,000 TEU of interstate and regional freight per year. It will also include a dedicated freight rail link to Port Botany and direct access to major highway networks. It is a key part of the Australian Government's plan to improve the nation's freight network. The terminal will help to reduce congestion on roads and improve the efficiency of freight transport.
The Interstate Terminal at Moorebank is expected to be completed by March 2025.
