Ecuador's Ministry of Transport and Public Works has announced the progress on the Daule -Posorja railway corridor PPP project.
The project is being developed as a public-private partnership (PPP) and is intended to improve the transportation of goods and people between the two cities, as well as to boost economic development in the region. The project was initially expected to be completed in 2020, but construction work was suspended for several months as a result of the pandemic. Progress was made on the construction of the railway line and other infrastructure, including stations and bridges. The project was approximately 80% complete and was expected to be completed in the Q1 of 2021.
