Sharjah has approved the construction of the AED261 million (US$71 million) Al Mudina Water Tank project in the Central Region of the UAE.
The tank, with a capacity of 6 million cubic meters, equivalent to 1.3 billion gallons of water, is a central component of a strategic project with the goal of ensuring a stable water supply in the region and supporting agricultural and livestock endeavors. This reservoir will play a crucial role in serving the cattle project, which commences this year with an initial herd of 1,000 high-quality breeds. The herd size will double next year, reaching 2,000 cows. Additionally, this project will have positive implications for poultry, sheep, and goat farming initiatives.
