The Center for Transport Strategies announced that the construction of the Krakovets - Brody - Rivne highway is planned to begin in 2022.

The road will be built in three stages: Lviv - Krakovets (first stage of construction), Lviv - Brody (second stage of construction) and Brody - Rivne (third stage of construction). The Krakovets - Brody - Rivne highway will be the first public-private partnership project in the field of road construction and operation. The length of the road should be about 280 km, and the travel time is expected to decrease from 4 hours 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. The road is designed for a speed of 130 km/h.

When calculating the cost of travel on the first toll road from Lviv to Krakovets, European standards will be used as a guide. The fare will cost UAH2-3 per km.
