The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has awarded the construction contract to Railways Business of L&T Construction. The company will be responsible for the construction of 116 Route km of High-Speed Ballastless Trackworks for the Bullet train project.
The scope of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) T3 Package includes the design, supply, construction and testing & commissioning of track works on a Design-Build lump sum price basis for the double line high-speed railway between Vadodara and Sabarmati in Gujarat. Once completed, this slab track system will allow trains to travel at speeds up to 320 KMPH.
Earlier L&T had also received a contract to design and construct Package No. MAHSR-C-5 of the High Speed Rail project.
