The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has announced that the rehabilitation works on the PY05 and PY08 routes for the Azotey - Yby Yaú - Pedro Juan Caballero section, between the departments of Concepción and Amambay, reached 100% progress.
To ensure passability and road safety, final work is now done at designated locations along the route. These operations include the installation of 3 x 3 m cell sewers as well as the milling and replacement of periodic potholes. Additionally, installing sewage lines is being done between km 47 and km 41.2, work on improving the road has been validated from km 115 to km 123.
With a PYG53 billion (US$7.2 million) investment, the Rovial Consortium-Caldetec is in charge of the project, which also includes maintenance of the route.
