Fengate has announced that the University of Florida has identified a consortium Swamp Power Partners as one of four shortlisted teams for its University of Florida Central energy plant public-private partnership (PPP) project.
The consortium is made up of companies such as Fengate, Bond Building Construction, Vicinity Energy and Vanderweil. With an estimated US$300 million capex, the project involves the development of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) at the University of Florida's campus located in Gainesville, USA. The project includes construction and maintenance of the campus central energy plant located on Gale Lemerand Drive, construction of a new South District thermal piping distribution loop and construction of the electrical substation.
