Metro Clark Waste Management (MCWM) has joined hands with an international joint venture to develop a flagship waste-to-energy facility in Clark, Pampanga, the Philippines.
Together with Plambeck-Emirates, MCWM will attract up to US$250 million in investment to the Philippines as a result of the project. The project aims to reduce by 70% the amount of waste that must be landfilled at MCWM's Clark landfill. A waste-to-energy power plant will use waste as fuel. The project will help the Philippines achieve its sustainable development goals.
