Connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF), managed by Cube Infrastructure Managers (Cube), has invested in a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) project operated by ASTEO Red Neutra in Spain.
ASTEO Red Neutra is focused on facilitating connectivity and digitalization, helping telecommunication operators to provide communication services in rural areas. Initially, the company will cover around 500 towns and villages through its transmission infrastructure, guaranteeing the highest communication standards regardless of location and population density.
The transaction represents a total investment of EUR40 million (US$46.50 million), which will allow the deployment of state-of-the-art FTTH infrastructure. This investment is the second one in Spain and the eighth in Europe for the fund. CEBF invests in greenfield and expansion projects in the European broadband infrastructure space.
