The town of Windsor in Connecticut, USAis plannign to launch the request for proposal (RFP) seeking private partner for the development of the train station on CTrail’s Hartford line in Windsor Locks. The scope of works will involve the construction of a 510-foot boarding platform, traffic infrastructure upgrades, station signals, reconfiguring local streets, enhancing mainline trail track, and building an Amtrak maintenance facility. The additional scope of works will include the development of commercial space, parking garage, and a 30,000-square-foot indoor public market around the train station.
The estimated investment for the project is US$ 45 million. The authorities have secured US$ 62 million from state and federal funding for the project.
