National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) in Colombia has signed the concession contract for the Accesos Norte 2 project with Plural Route Bogotá North Structure consortium.
The consortium is 50:50 JV of Obrascon Huarte Colombia Branch and Termotécnica Coindustrial SAS. The project has an estimated investment of COP1.32 billion (US$351 million). The consortium will be responsible for the expansion of North Highway to five mixed lanes on each road, between 192 and 245, plus the construction of an exclusive lane for Transmilenio from 192 to 235.
The project will improve mobility and decongest the traffic of vehicles that circulate between Bogotá and several municipalities in Cundinamarca, including Chía, Sopó, Tocancipá́, Zipaquirá́ and Cajicá́.
