The Chapada dos Guimarães National Park is slated to receive investments totaling BRL 18 million (USD 3 million) in infrastructure and over BRL 200 million (USD 40 million) in operations spanning 30 years. These funds aim to foster tourism development in the region while simultaneously contributing to environmental conservation within the Park.
Established in 1989 and often referred to as the "water tank" of Cuiabá, the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, situated in the cerrado of the State of Mato Grosso, not only boasts significant tourist allure but also safeguards vital ecosystems and ensures the preservation of water sources supplying the metropolitan region of Mato Grosso's capital. Spanning 32,600 hectares, equivalent to 45,000 football fields, the park plays a pivotal role in both conservation and regional development.
