The Chico Mendes Institute of Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) with the help of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) las launched a tender seeking bidders for Jericoacoara National Park public-private partnership (PPP) project in Ceara, Brazil.
The selected private partner will be responsible for visit support activities, maintenance and upgrading of tourism services, conservation and protection. The announcement also provides for a number of investments over a period of up to three years, such as improvements to operational buildings, recreational infrastructure and facilities in various areas. The project also includes investments in environmental research and infrastructure in Camosim, Cruz and Hijoca de Jericoacoara. The project will invest approximately BRL116 million (US$21 million) in infrastructure and BRL990 million (US$186 million) in operation and management. The concessionaire must have the highest fixed grant amount, which is the amount payable to the government of Brazil.
The term of the concession is 30 years. The auction is scheduled to take place on March 10, 2023 at B3 in Sao Paulo, Spain. More information about this tender could be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
