The Ministry of Infrastructure in Brazil has awarded two port terminal concessions for Maceió Port Complex (MAC13) located in the Port of Maceió and Tersab terminal located in the Areia Branca Port Complex, Rio Grande do Norte.
EMPAT, Empresa Alagoana de Terminais, will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of MAC13- Maceio port complex for 25 years, which handles movement and storage of bulk vegetable solids, especially sugar. Intersal Consortium will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Tersab terminal for 25 years, which handles storage of bulk mineral solids, especially sea salt.
