Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) has extended the concession agreement by three years for Singapore's Senoko Waste to Energy (WTE) Plant.

The total contract value, including the option of up to one year extension, is approximately US$300 million, of which approximately US$80 million will go towards the refurbishment of Senoko WTE Plant. Keppel Infrastructure Trust (KIT), managed by Keppel Infrastructure Fund Management Pte Ltd (KIFM), has engaged Keppel Seghers, the environmental technology and engineering solutions arm of Keppel Ltd's Infrastructure Division, to refurbish crucial components of the Senoko WTE Plant, ensuring its safe and reliable operations. Keppel Seghers, the existing operations and maintenance (O&M) operator of the plant, will see its O&M service contract extended by three years, with the possibility of further extension for up to one year.

The Senoko WTE Plant, Singapore's third WTE facility, commissioned in 1992 over a 7.5-hectare land area, possesses a daily waste treatment capacity of 2,310 tonnes. It is equipped with six incinerator-boiler units featuring two condensing turbine generators, providing a maximum power generation capacity of 2 x 28 MW. Keppel currently manages four WTE plants globally, including Senoko.
