Commercial close for water supply PPP in Indonesia

The Indonesian Government, through the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) of Tirta Moedal, in West Semarang City has signed the West Semarang Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) project with the winning bidder PT Air Semarang Barat (ASB).

ASB was formed by a consortium of PT Aetra Jakarta and PT Medco Gas Indonesia.

The project aims to provide drinking water to 31 urban villages in 3 sub-districts in Semarang, namely West Semarang, Tugu, and Ngaliyan. It is structured using the design, finance, build, operate, maintain and transfer scheme of the public-private partnership (PPP) investment model.
