The Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority (JPPHA), an entity of the state government of Colorado, has received five responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a 9.2-mile long, four-lane limited access toll highway in Denver, the state capital.
The highway, known as the Jefferson Parkway, will complete the metro Denver beltway and be equipped with intelligent transportation systems (ITS) infrastructure.
JPPHA’s board of directors is scheduled to choose no more than three respondents to proceed to the next stage of the tender process later this week.
It is thought that the three shortlisted teams will be invited to submit proposals for the project in the spring of next year, having until the fall (autumn) to prepare their responses. Following this timeline, construction of the highway would begin in the spring of 2020.
