Colombia's National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has awarded the Buga - Buenaventura road public private partnership (PPP) project under a private initiative (PI) scheme.
The $1.07 billion (US$323.8 million) road has been awarded to Consorcio Estructura Plural Vía al Puerto, which submitted the unsolicited proposal for the project. The team is composed of Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte (34%), Conconcreto (33%) and CASS Constructores (33%).
The PPP- PI road project will involve the finalization of the dual carriageway between Buga and Mediacanoa and the development of the Buenaventura bypass. The construction of the 26.5 kilometers road includes the development of 2 tunnels, 12 bridges, a 7.5 km bikeway and the operation and maintenance of the 111 km existing road for a period of 30 years.
