Colombia's National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) provisionally suspended the prequalification for the PPP project, focused on the Restoration of Degraded Ecosystems of the Canal del Dique. The project seeks to actively regulate the entry of flows to the Canal del Dique and improve its navigability along 117 km between the bay of Cartagena and Calamar on the banks of the Magdalena River.
Along with the prior consultation process, the National Infrastructure Agency will continue to adjust the components of the financial, technical, and legal structuring, as well as completing the preparation of all the necessary documents to open the bidding process, with the prior approval of the National Planning Department (DNP), the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transportation. This procedure is estimated to be carried out during the second half of 2021.
