The National Infrastructure Agency of Colombia together with the Institute for Urban Development (IDU) and Government of Cundinamarca has launched a public consultation for the development of the Accesos Norte II highway project.
They are seeking the opinion of the users of the highway Autopista Norte (North Highway) about the need to expand and new works that would improve access to the country's capital.
The project plans to expand the North Highway to five mixed lanes on each road, between 192 and 245, plus the construction of an exclusive lane for Transmilenio from 192 to 235. Likewise, the project foresees the construction of 11.66 km of public space - platforms and cyclo-trails and the construction of road intersections.
The project involves the development of the second road between streets 201 and 245 on the Carrera Séptima as well as the construction of platforms and cyclo-trails that improve the passability of pedestrians.
The project is in the structuring stage, which means that its scope and execution are in the evaluation stage and require approval from entities such as the Ministry of Finance and DNP, among others.
