Colas have signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Destia Oy, a major player in the road and rail and energy infrastructure in Finland. Destia currently belongs to Ahlström Capital Group. In 2020, the company generated revenue of EUR564 million (US$669.36 million).

The acquisition is in line with the strategy of Colas to pursue international growth in Northern Europe, the United States and Germany. The Northern European market offers solid growth prospects with significant needs for construction and maintenance of transport infrastructures. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2021 and is subject to the approval of the competition authorities.
