Cofides has launched a transaction to acquire 45% stake in Promotora Hospital de Bosa in Colombia from Grupo Ortiz. Promotora Hospital de Bosa is a project company responsible for the design, construction, provision and maintenance of the Hospital de Bosa in Colombia.
Cofides will support the Grupo Ortiz in the investment and execution of the project. It will also acquire 45% of the subordinated debt, for a maximum amount of EUR11 million (US$13.05 million).
This hospital is part of Colombia's 2016-2020 District Development Plan, which includes among its objectives the improvement of the provision of health services. The scope of works for hospital infrastructure involves the development of an integrated Type 2 Primary Health Care Center with a total capacity of 215 beds, including 135 beds for internal medicine, 60 beds for surgical services, 12 beds for intensive care for adults, and 8 beds for intermediate care for adults.
