VINCI has announced that its subsidiary company Cobra IS announced the acquisition, by its subsidiary Carmo Energy, of Polo Carmópolis from the Brazilian Petrobras group.
Polo Carmópolis holds interests in eleven concessions in onshore oil and gas fields and infrastructure in Brazil. The company's average daily production in November 2022 was 4,500 barrels of oil and 22,000 m3 of natural gas. Carmo Energy will be responsible for the maintenance of the Polo Carmópolis facilities and their modernization work.
The transaction amount is US$1.1 billion, of which US$823 million will be paid in 2022, and the balance of US$275 million will be paid to Petrobras within 12 months.
