Honduras' public-private partnership promotion agency, Coalianza, and Banco Continental, S.A. have launched a tender process for the concession of the Western Corridor Highway CA-4, Chamelecon - Naco - La Entrada, under toll collection system.
The project is located in the departments of Cortes, Santa Barbara and Copán, in the northwest area of the Republic of Honduras. It begins in Chamelecón, municipality of San Pedro Sula, department of Cortés, in northern Honduras and gradually moves to the western area of the country to connect with the city of La Entrada, department of Copán.
The project involves the design, build, finance, operation, maintenance, and transfer of the 106.0 Kilometers length corridor during a period of up to 30 years.
Interested parties must submit their pre - qualification documents on or before 27 November 2014. The results of this pre-qualification will be notified on December 12, 2014 to each of the participants.

Coalianza launched in July this year another tender process for a road PPP project, the CA-5 Sur highway. The new 88 km road will link the capital Tegucigalpa and Jícaro Galán. The highway will be developed on a design, build, finance, operation and maintenance basis.
