Clackamas County in Oregon, USA has approved to engage public-private partnership for the courthouse replacement project. The new courthouse will replace the existing courthouse located in Oregon city which was built in 1936. The new courthouse will have improved access, will be safe for all visitors and employees, and will provide ample courtrooms.
The private partner will assume the risk and responsibility for the building's maintenance for 30 years. The authority is seeking to appoint a technical advisor that will assist in drafting partial design and construction documents, financing terms and operations and maintenance agreements for the new facility that will be used to identify the best potential private development partners interested in the project. The authority will also launch a request for interest to build a pool of interested private sector companies.
