The City of Madison has published the Request for Proposal (RFP), looking for interested parties to participate in the development of the State St Campus Garage Mixed-Use Project in Madison, Wisconsin. The facility will include an intercity bus terminal, public parking structure, ground floor retail and housing. The aim of the project is to provide connectivity, transportation, housing and additional amenities to visitors, residents and students.
The new development will replace the State Street Campus Garage at 415 N. Lake Street, constructed in 1964. The original structure is approaching the end of its useful life and has become financially challenging for the City to continue to invest in its ongoing maintenance. The new garage should connect with the parking structure at 430 N Frances Street.
The deadline to submit the proposals for the RFP is July 19, 2021. More information about this business opportunity can be found here.
