The City of Lake Oswego has announced that its Selection Committee ranked EPCOR USA Inc. as the preferred proposer for a new wastewater treatment facility PPP project for Lake Oswego, Oregon. The negotiation of agreements to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain will start after the approval of the City Council.
The new treatment plant will replace the Portland-owned and operated Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant as it requires a major upgrade or replacement. The proposed PPP project will treat 43.8 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater and will provide a cost-effective solution useable by both Portland and Lake Oswego cities. The expected start of operation is December 2024.
