Chinese firms to continue works for Sangley Point International Airport

The Chinese firm - China Communication Construction Co. Ltd (CCCC)-  selected as preferred bidders for Sangley Point International Airport project to continue the works for the project .

US government has recently imposed sanctions against the Chinese firms involved in construction activities in the disputed South China Sea waterway.

The Philipines government has made clear that it does not want to interfere with any countries internal affairs. 

The project involves the development of a new international airport in Sangley Point, Cavite, in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines. CCCC is one of the 24 companies banned by the US government.
