The state-owned China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has been selected to build a 1,400-km-long road linking the north and south of the country.
The highway, which will run from Cunene province in the south to the northwestern provinces of Zaire and Cabinda, aims to link Angola with Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Feasibility studies are expected to be completed by mid to late 2025. CRBC plans to invest approximately US$50-75 million once the studies are finalized. Construction is slated to commence by late 2025 or 2026, with an estimated total cost of around US$2.5 billion.
