The Ministry of Public Works in Chile has received bids from four companies/consortiums for the Coquimbo hospital complex concession. The hospital will be developed in 132,000 sqm with a capacity of 605 beds and other necessary infrastructure for medical, dental and non-medical consultations, childbirth and emergency services. The estimated investment value for the project is US$300 million with a concession period of 15 years.

The opening of economic bids will take place on January 31, 2022. The project is expected to be awarded in Q1 of 2022, allowing the start of works in the second half of 2023. The hospital complex is planned to be operation in 2027 and will serve 723,000 inhabitants of Coquimbo and Andacollo communes.
