The Government of Chile through the Ministry of Public Works has launched a tender for the development of the first group of hospitals corresponding to the Maule Network. This group is composed of three medium to high complexity enclosures, which will operate in the municipalities of Cauquenes, Constitución and Parral.
Unlike the current concessioned hospitals that are in operation or construction, this project considers the design, construction and maintenance of the new dependencies of the new buildings, in addition to the provision, replacement, assembly and maintenance of medical equipment and clinical furniture and not clinical furniture. The scheme does not contemplate the delivery of other services such as food and laundry by the company that is awarded the work, as well as clinical services.
The concession of the Maule Network involves an investment of UF 6,634,394 (approximately US$ 244 million), which will allow for a total of 368 beds. In detail, the Cauquenes Hospital will have a capacity of 136 beds to serve an estimated population of 59,000 people. Meanwhile, the Constitution site will have 111 beds for an estimated population of 57 thousand people and Parral Hospital will have 121 beds to benefit a population of 58 thousand people.
The reception of technical and economic offers is scheduled for May 27, 2020 and the opening of economic offers for June 16, 2020.
