CEPA signs contract for cargo terminal project in El Salvador airport

The Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) has signed a short contract for the expansion and modernization project of the Air Cargo Terminal belonging to the International Airport of El Salvador.

The project consists of two phases- the first includes the financing, design, expansion, construction, equipment, maintenance improvement and operation of the existing infrastructure. The budget of this phase is US$13.3 million with a concession period of 15 years. The second phase consists of the financing, design, construction, equipment, maintenance and operation of a new cargo terminal with a budget of US$49 million. The concession period will be over 20 years.

The signed agreement has a duration of 35 years and establishes that CEPA and the Civil Aviation Authority of El Salvador (AAC) will be responsible for monitoring compliance with each of the established agreements.
