Brandon University, located in Manitoba province, Canada, has republished a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEOI) for a mixed-use complex to be incorporated into the university's Downtown campus in the city of Brandon. The complex is to be composed of residential, commercial and academic facilities.
The RFEOI was originally published on 5 July 2018, with responses due on 3 August. The republishing is due to a technical issue. Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now due on 4 September 2018, with selected proponents to be contacted by 21 September 2018.
Preliminary proposals for the complex will be due by 31 December 2018. The university has emphasised that at this stage, there is wide scope for determining the final shape of the development. While the university will be involved in designing a facility that will meet City and university objectives, a great amount of freedom will be allowed for the developer to explore possibilities to determine a proposal that will be feasible financially and operationally.
