Call for tender for Rv 555 Sotrasambandet PPP project (the Sotra connection) in Norway has been delayed by the State Highways Authority.
The issuing of the request for qualifications might be pushed into the next year.
The project involves construction of the new main land connection between Sotra/Øygarden and Bergen to ensure efficient transport to urban centres and urban districts, and to main roads, railway, airport and sea transport. The Sotra Connection – is one of three major road projects to be carried out as Public-Private Partnerships in Norway. It is given priority in the National Transport Plan for 2018–2023.
The project was approved by the Parliament 15 of May, 2018. Initially, the call for tender was scheduled for late 2018 / early 2019, signing of the contract was scheduled for 2020 and completion for 2024.
