The Government of Alberta in Canada has received approval for a business case submitted for the Green Line LRT project in Calgary. The federal government of Canada has also reaffirmed its support for the project. The construction works for the LRT line are set to begin in the Beltline and Downtown Calgary from fall 2021.
20 km long Green Line will have 14-station and provide services from 16 Avenue N in Crescent Heights to 126 Avenue SE in Shepard, running through downtown Calgary. With the redefined procurement strategy, alignment of funding partners Green Line LRT is confidently moving forward.
