Brookfield Infrastructure Partners plans to sell two Chilean highway concessions: America Vespucio Norte highway and San Cristobal tunnel. The total value of both concessions is approximately US$ 800 million.
Brookfield partners acquired Chilean toll roads in 2011 to 2015 under its subsidiary company 'Taurus holdings Chile SA SPV', from previous owners Grupo ACS and Hochtief. According to sources JP Morgan and Scotiabank are already engaged in the deal and binding bids will be announced shortly. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), GIC, Globalvia, Grupo Costanera, ROADIS might have interest in the assets.
America Vespucio Norte is a 40-year highway concession with a length of 26 Km in the north of Santiago. San Cristobal tunnel is a build, operate and transfer project in the capital city of Chile, Santiago includes 1.8km twin parallel San Cristóbal tunnels.
