Brookfield Asset Management announced the closing of its inaugural Brookfield Infrastructure Structured Solutions Fund (BISS), a middle-market infrastructure fund, achieving its fundraising target with approximately US$1 billion of capital commitments.

BISS leverages Brookfield’s expertise as a global infrastructure owner and operator to collaborate with sponsors, developers, and corporations in the mid-market sector. The fund's strategy involves investing in both structured and common equity, focusing on industries where Brookfield has a strong operational presence and deep asset knowledge. By utilizing its direct investment capabilities, BISS aims to identify and secure unique investment opportunities. The fund’s initial investments include:

  • Strategic Venue Partners, a prominent provider of in-building wireless infrastructure.
  • Origis Energy, a U.S.-based renewable energy developer.

Brookfield-affiliated entities committed US$150 million to BISS, reinforcing the firm's longstanding commitment to aligning its interests with those of its investors. With a substantial portion of the fund already allocated and a robust pipeline of investment opportunities, Brookfield anticipates significant expansion of the Infrastructure Structured Solutions strategy in the coming years.
