The Government of Sergipe in Brazil has signed a contract with the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) to carry out studies for a project that will expand supply services of water and sanitary sewage in all 75 municipalities of the State.
The project will benefit approximately 2 million inhabitants. It resonates with the new legal framework for sanitation which aims to serve 99% of the population with drinking water and 90% of the population with sewage collection.
