The Council of the Investment Partnerships Program (CPPI) of the Federal Government of Brazil will qualify 22 new initiatives in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP)/PPI portfolio.
Projects and policies qualified by the CPPI become part of the program's portfolio and become, from then on a national priority. Among the 22 initiatives is the policy of attracting private investments to the tourism sector, as well as the concession of fishing terminals; leasing of port terminals; concession of national parks and concession of forests.
PPI has presented relevant results for the development of partnerships in Brazil since its creation in 2016. Of the 287 qualified projects in the 11 previous CPPI meetings, 172 have already been auctioned or concluded and will generate approximately BRL700 billion (US$160 billion) in investments in the coming years, not counting the value of grants of approximately BRL137 billion (US$31.4 billion) to the Union.
