The Government of the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil has announced public hearing for the Maracana Sports complex PPP concession. The concession involves management, exploitation, operation and maintenance of the Maracanã Complex located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The authority has already published the draft contract for consultation.

The public hearing is scheduled to take place on October 27, 2021. The estimated investment value for the project is BRL2 billion (US$362.82 million). The concession period will be 20 years with a possible extension of five additional years.
