The State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra) in Mato Grosso, Brazil will hold two public hearing meetings to present draft plans for the development of the Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT) in Cuiabá and Várzea Grande. The BRT will have 54 electric buses and will provide faster and cheaper connectivity in the metropolitan capital region of Mato Grosso.
The public hearing for the BRT in Cuiabá and Várzea Grande will be held on September 9th and 10th, respectively. BRT system is estimated to cost BRL430 million (US$83.48 million). The project is expected to complete the implementation within 22 months.
