Brazil to award concession of public Lighting park in Angra dos Reis

Municipality of Angra dos Reis in Brazil has launched the tender for the concession of public Lighting park in the city. The project will make public lighting park more efficient, as well as reduce the consumption of electric energy.

The auction for the project was held on May 8, 2020, to decide the preferred bidder for the project.

The Luz de Angra Consortium, composed of the companies Enel X, Selt Engenharia and Mobit - Mobility, Lighting and Technology, presented the best proposal to manage the park of public lighting in the municipality of Angra dos Reis for the next 15 years. Now, the process enters the qualification phase and the final result will be announced on June 5th.

Represented by the brokerage firm Itaú, the company submitted a bid of RBL 327,060 (USD 57,066) in the PPP (public-private partnership) auction phase, which corresponds to a discount of 31% compared to the maximum monthly consideration defined in the notice.
