The Government of Piaui has signed a concession contract with Gráos Consortium for sections of the Transcerrados Highway and the Palestine Highway.
Graos Consortium comprises CS Brasil, MT Sul and B2i. Concession involves the development of 273 km of roads in Southern Piaui for a period of 30 years. The estimated investment value for the contract is BRL800 million (US$153.45 million).
The consortium will be responsible for the provision of conservation, recovery, construction, maintenance, improvement, implementation and road operation services in two stretches of the Transcerrados highway and in one stretch of the Palestine Highway. Both sections are 276.8 km in length and cover 25 municipalities in the state.
