The Government of Brazil has received two proposals for the Norte-Sul railroad concession project.
The project involves the development of a 1,537 km railway that passes through the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and the Tocantins.
The bidders offered a minimum value of BRL1.351 billion (US$349.7 million) and planned investments of about BRL2.8 billion (US$724.7 million) for a concession period of 30 years. The bids are expected to be opened on March 28.
