The State of Tocantins in Brazil and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) plans to open public consultation on September 30, 2021, for public tourism services PPP project in the Jalapão Park.
The BNDES was contracted by the State of Tocantins and is responsible for preparing the technical studies to carry out the concession of services currently provided by the State in Parque do Jalapão. The Concession Program takes into account three key goals: environmental preservation, sustainable tourism and income generation, and regional development. The project considers the Serra do Espírito Santo and Cachoeira da Velha Dunes as the main centers for concession purposes.
