The Government of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil has launched a tender notice seeking a private partner for the Erechim prison complex PPP project.

The selected private partner will be responsible for the construction, equipping and maintenance of a model prison complex with at least 1,200 spaces in two closed units with 600 spaces each. It is estimated to attract BRL150 million (US$28.03 million) in investments within the first two years of its 35 years long concession period.
