Brazil launches sanitation PPP project in Porto Velho

The Municipality of Porto Velho in Rondonia, Brazil is planning to launch a common concession for basic sanitation services in the municipality. The project will provide drinking water and sanitation services to at least 95% of the households in Porto Velho.

The project is estimated to attract an investment of BRL2.5 billion (US$536.39 million). Three private companies have already shown interest in the concession. The authority is planning to launch public consultation soon to finalize and select the best procurement structure and study.
